2017: Growth Through Change and a Revived Spirit

Essential Steps to Remember When You Lose Your Focus

The most essential steps to remember when your creative focus isn’t aligned with your intentions:

  • Remember Your “Why”
  • Act when inspiration peeks in – regardless of what your emotions tell you.
  • Be relentless with it

I use the phrase “peeks in” literally here. In other words –
If you’ve lost the drive or focus on your work. This could be anything from your entrepreneurial career to a passionate hobby. Either way, it’s the same. These obstacles and hurdles are part of the growth process.

You Are an Essential Ingredient to Existence

Get outside and allow the sounds
to move the hairs in your inner ear – with no judgment or reasoning

Have you ever stood in the rain and felt sincere gratitude that you’re able to experience that specific moment? Feeling the droplets of water crash into your skin?

How about sitting quietly outside – focusing on nothing but the sounds of the nearby birds? Not in a way that attempts to figure out the meaning behind their endless chirping but – in a way to simply allow the sounds into your mind. Be present and experience the sense of hearing as nature sings?

If you have never done this – I encourage you to. Do it today.

With that said –

I do not meditate.

Code Sain. The Writing Journal Journey

wpid-screenshot_2015-09-05-16-44-12-1-1-1.pngCompassion. Dedication. Sacrifice. Intent.

Once upon a time on a dark and stormy night – I ponder, for hours, on how I can start a post about these 4 key elements.
Then it dawns on me — “Look in your private journal!”
I jump up and run to my desk. I sit down in my chair, scan the desk, and it occurs to me that I don’t even have a private journal.

That instant reaction to check something that I didn’t own at the time was a clear indication — It was time for a change.

A Social Media Compilation and Some News.

wpid-20150912_150316.jpgHello, my friends!
I have a few pieces in work – expect to see the first by Tuesday evening or Wednesday afternoon.
The adventure has, unfortunately, delayed work on the blog. I don’t want to try to explain (and most likely bore you) with the details.
Rest assured, though, the posts will show up more often as we move forward. Regular blog postings are essential.
I haven’t told anyone about the plans I have. Yay for secrets! Don’t worry – the secret will be out soon – and you’re going to love it.

Be Still and Listen – You Already Have the Answers.

thinking-304955-mLife is short. We hear this sentiment often, don’t we? What does it really mean, though? When people say this, I believe they are referring to living a fearless type of lifestyle. Not wreck-less, but fearless. Purely intentional – stretching yourself and testing your own beliefs on limitations placed into your mind by a structured system.
This is what I believe is often lost in translation – Embrace the unknown.
When you stretch yourself, more specifically your mind – you put yourself in a state of feeling mentally uncomfortable or spiritually unsure. This feeling of discomfort is necessary.

Nature is the Answer. Always Has Been – Always Will Be.

Jack Herer, also known as ‘The Hemperor,’ offered a $100,000 challenge to the world to prove him wrong.

The Challenge: $100,000

If all fossil fuels and their derivatives, as well as trees for paper and construction, were banned in order to save the planet, reverse the greenhouse effect and stop deforestation; Then there is only one known annually renewable resource that is capable of providing the overall majority of the world’s paper and textiles; meet all of the world’s transportation, industrial, and home energy needs – while simultaneously reducing pollution, rebuilding the soil, and cleaning the atmosphere all at the same time…And that substance is – the same one that did it all before – Cannabis Hemp – Marijuana.

Sponsored by: H.E.M.P. (America), HANF HAUS (Germany), SENSI SEEDS/HASH MARIJUANA MUSEUM (Holland), and T.H.C., THE TEXAS HEMP CAMPAIGN (America) Visit Jack Herer’s website for more details:

If you can prove him wrong, you will be $100,000 richer. (Jack Herer – June 18, 1939 – April 15, 2010) Rest in peace, Sir. Your work and dedication will forever be admired by millions.

The reason Jack put such a large sum of money up in this challenge is because it’s impossible to prove him wrong – because he’s right. Each of the examples he gives in this challenge can be broken down into many subsections.

You Are a Genius – So Am I and So Are We – They Are Too.

What is 1+2? What is the value of 1? What is the value of 2? If we take the value of 1 and add it to the value of 2, what is the outcome? Given what we have learned throughout our lives, the value we get is 3. Now, my question is this – Do you accept that?

Is there any part of your mind that has a desire to question it or are you 100% sold on 1+2=3? If you do have, even a slight hesitation to accept it, then you’re on the right track.

It All Started With Some Excursions Into Horror

20150312_135320-1It was Tuesday night and all through the house, not a creäture was stirring – not even my muse.

After a long, restless night I decided to put the words down for a few days and read. I was, once again, reminded of the genius of Stephen King. What an inspiration he is. I hope to one day meet him just so I can shake his hand and say “Thank you.”

Speaking of the King – his word usage and storytelling initially sparked the fire and got me writing. I believe it was 1994 when a copy of The Night Shift – excursions into horror, entered my life. I wish I could remember how I obtained it but, I don’t. I spent many nights alone in my bedroom reading those short stories and becoming captivated by them. The art form, the characters, and the words took hold of my imagination. That book started a love affair that has lasted 21 years and counting.

That night, after reading a few stories, I put the book down and began thinking about 1994. I was 15 years old at the time. I had no idea who
