Politics and party hats

I thought I’d start the day by jumping in on the political opinion-party. I see all of you sporting those smooth party hats as you post your thoughts on Facebook — while you may or may not know, I am a party hat collector and self-assigned critic.

So…

I cannot sit in silence any longer – give me one of those sweet party hats.

Music is Everywhere

I started drawing recently. (The picture to the right is a drawing I did last week) I’ve always enjoyed sketching random things during idle moments or while chatting on the phone. But, the last couple of weeks has been more involved than that. In fact, this is the first time I have sat down to write in 5 days.

During this 5 day stretch, I did a lot of thinking while the pencil (and erasers) danced across the paper. Moments of inner-chemical warfare. Moments of pure bliss. Hello – I Am Your Biggest Fan

pencil sigHello, my friends. So, here’s the deal – I’ve had this blog up for a few days. I’ve spent hours messing with everything (messing up everything too) and it occurred to me, I may need some assistance with the features. So – here I am.

My name is Matthew. I am a writer. I’ve approached writing in many ways over the years – but the one thing that has remained constant is my love for words and the craft.

I write short stories, slowly working my way into the world of freelance writing and I have a novel under construction. (Nearly complete with first draft)

The post below is the test post. Thanks for your time and thanks for reading.

-M.
